I craft this handmade rustic plate collection from black clay, inspired by the raw textures of Ottoman copper dishes. Perfect for serving salads, appetizers, or breakfast items, these plates are made using clay slabs that are entirely hand-rolled, shaped, and burnished, achieving their final appearance through a manual distressing process. Consequently, no two pieces are exactly alike.
The patterns on the plates, also handmade, are both distinct from one another and create a surprising sense of harmony when brought together.
More pieces and colors will be added to the collection on a seasonal basis.
Care for Your Rustic Plates
All plates are handmade. Therefore, slight variations in size, shape, color, and glaze may occur compared to what you see in the pictures, making each piece unique and one-of-a-kind. All plates are made using non-toxic, food-safe clays and glazes. They are microwave-safe and dishwasher-safe. I recommend that you minimize the contact of your ceramics' unglazed surfaces with staining foods or drinks.
