I create this handmade rustic plate collection from black clay, inspired by the raw textures of Ottoman copper shallow dishes (sahan). These plates, which you can use for serving pasta, appetizers, breakfast items, and more, are made using clay slabs that are entirely hand-rolled, shaped, and burnished, achieving their final look through manual distressing. Therefore, no two pieces are exactly alike.

Care for Your Rustic Plates
All plates are handmade. For this reason, slight variations in size, shape, color, and glaze may occur compared to what you see in the pictures, making each piece unique and one-of-a-kind. All plates are made using non-toxic, food-safe clays and glazes. They are microwave-safe and dishwasher-safe. I especially recommend minimizing the contact of the unglazed surfaces of your ceramics with staining foods or beverages.
