I create this collection of handmade rustic plates using black clay, inspired by the raw textures of Ottoman copper dishes. These plates, which you can use for serving pasta, appetizers, breakfast items, and more, are crafted entirely from hand-rolled, shaped, and burnished clay slabs, achieving their final look through a manual distressing process. Therefore, no two pieces are exactly alike.
The handmade patterns on the plates are both distinct from one another and create a surprising sense of harmony when brought together.
More pieces and colors will be added to the collection on a seasonal basis.
Care for Your Rustic Plates
All plates are handmade. For this reason, slight differences in size, shape, color, and glaze may occur compared to what you see in the images, making each piece unique and one-of-a-kind. All plates are made using non-toxic, food-safe clays and glazes. They are microwave-safe and dishwasher-safe. I recommend that you minimize contact between the unglazed surfaces of your ceramics and stain-causing foods or beverages.
