I produce my handmade rustic plate collection from black clay, inspired by the raw textures of Ottoman copper dishes. The plates, which you can use for serving foods such as salads, appetizers, and breakfast items, are made using clay slabs that are entirely hand-rolled, shaped, and burnished, and they achieve their final appearance through manual distressing. Therefore, no two pieces are exactly the same.
The handmade patterns on the plates are both distinct from one another and create a surprising harmony when brought together.
More pieces and colors will be added to the collection seasonally.
Care for Your Rustic Plates
All plates are handmade. For this reason, slight variations in size, shape, color, and glaze may occur compared to what you see in the pictures, making each piece unique and one-of-a-kind. All plates are made using non-toxic, food-safe clays and glazes. They are suitable for use in the microwave and are dishwasher safe. I particularly recommend minimizing contact between the unglazed surfaces of your ceramics and stain-causing foods or drinks.
