I craft my handmade rustic plate collection from black clay, drawing inspiration from the raw textures of Ottoman copper dishes. These plates, which you can use for serving appetizers, mezes, or breakfast items, are made using clay slabs that are entirely hand-rolled, shaped, and burnished, achieving their final appearance through a manual distressing process. Consequently, no two pieces are identical.
The handmade patterns on the plates are both distinct from one another and create a surprising harmony when brought together.
More pieces and colors will be added to the collection on a seasonal basis.
Care for Your Rustic Plates
All plates are handmade. For this reason, slight variations in size, shape, color, and glaze may occur compared to what you see in the pictures, making each piece unique and one-of-a-kind. All plates are made using non-toxic, food-safe clays and glazes. They are microwave-safe and dishwasher-safe. I recommend minimizing contact between the unglazed surfaces of your ceramics and stain-causing food or drinks.
