I create my handmade rustic plate collection from black clay, inspired by the raw textures of Ottoman copper bowls. These plates, which you can use for serving dishes such as pasta, appetizers, or breakfast items, are made using clay slabs that are entirely hand-rolled, shaped, and burnished, achieving their final appearance through hand-distressing. Therefore, no two pieces are exactly the same.
The handmade patterns on the plates are both distinct from one another and create a surprising harmony when brought together.
More pieces and colors will be added to the collection seasonally.
Care for Your Rustic Plates
All plates are handmade. For this reason, slight variations in size, shape, color, and glaze may occur compared to what you see in the pictures, making each piece unique and one-of-a-kind. All plates are made using non-toxic, food-safe clays and glazes. They are microwave-safe and dishwasher-safe. I recommend that you minimize contact between the unglazed surfaces of your ceramics and stain-causing food or drinks.
