I create this handmade rustic plate collection from black clay, inspired by the raw textures of Ottoman copper dishes. These plates, which you can use for serving foods such as pasta, appetizers, or breakfast items, are crafted using clay slabs that are entirely hand-rolled, shaped, and burnished, achieving their final appearance through hand-distressing. Therefore, no two pieces are identical.
The patterns on the plates, which are also handmade, are both distinct from one another and form a surprising sense of unity when brought together.
More pieces and colors will be added to the collection on a seasonal basis.
Care for Your Rustic Plates
All plates are handmade. For this reason, slight variations in size, shape, color, and glaze may occur compared to what you see in the pictures, making each piece unique and one-of-a-kind. All plates are made using non-toxic, food-safe clays and glazes. They are microwave-safe and dishwasher-safe. I especially recommend minimizing contact between the unglazed surfaces of your ceramics and foods or beverages that may leave stains.
