I create this handmade rustic plate collection from black clay, inspired by the raw textures of Ottoman copper bowls. These plates, which you can use for serving pasta, appetizers, breakfast items, and more, are made entirely using hand-rolled, shaped, and burnished clay slabs, and achieve their final appearance through hand-distressing. Therefore, no two pieces are exactly alike.
The patterns on the plates, which are also handmade, are both distinct from one another and form a surprising sense of unity when brought together.
More pieces and colors will be added to the collection seasonally.
Care for Your Rustic Plates
All plates are handmade. For this reason, slight differences in size, shape, color, and glaze may occur compared to what you see in the pictures, making each piece unique and one-of-a-kind. All plates are made using non-toxic, food-safe clays and glazes. They are microwave safe and dishwasher safe. I particularly recommend minimizing the contact of your ceramics' unglazed surfaces with staining foods or drinks.
