I create this handmade rustic plate collection from black clay, inspired by the raw textures of Ottoman copper dishes. These plates, which you can use for serving dishes such as pasta, appetizers, or breakfast items, are made using clay slabs that are entirely hand-rolled, shaped, and burnished, achieving their final look through hand-distressing. Therefore, no two pieces are identical.
The handmade patterns on the plates are both distinct from one another and create a surprising harmony when brought together.
More pieces and colors will be added to the collection seasonally.
Care for Your Rustic Plates
All plates are handmade. For this reason, slight variations in size, shape, color, and glaze may occur compared to what you see in the pictures, making each piece unique and one-of-a-kind. All plates are crafted using non-toxic, food-safe clays and glazes. They are microwave-safe and dishwasher-safe. I particularly recommend minimizing the contact of the unglazed surfaces of your ceramics with staining foods or drinks.
