OUR STORY

A life that found its way to the table.

Rooted in Anatolia, shaped by the Mediterranean.

EDA ARAYAN · FOUNDER

“Long before Deep Ceramics had a name, clay had already found its place in my life.”

A first encounter with clay.

A childhood encounter with ceramics in Saudi Arabia stayed with me. Years later, that early connection would find its way back into my everyday life.

The tables I grew up around.

In my Circassian family, the table was a place of generosity. Food, conversation and the pleasure of being together shaped what gathering means to me.

A table set with Deep Ceramics

Finding my way back.

After years in corporate life, I returned to ceramics. I was drawn first to sculpture, then to the place where art, food and everyday life meet: the table.

Deep Ceramics serving pieces

Rooted in Anatolia.

Generous serving forms and shared dishes carry a culture of hospitality into the objects I make.

The hand remains visible.

Each piece is painted individually. Brushstrokes and subtle variations give it a character of its own.
